American depository receipts of European stocks rose 0.28% to 119.81 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday.
In continental Europe, the gainers were led by radiopharmaceutical company Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAAP), and medical equipment maker Edap (EDAP), which rose 3.9% and 2.4% respectively. They were followed by computer hardware and peripheral maker Logitech (LOGI), up 1.7%, and Swedish telecommunications operator Ericsson (ERIC), up 1.4%.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by CGG (CGG), a French manufacturer of geophysical equipment, and enterprise software company Talend (TLND), which fell 2.2% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND), lower 0.9%, and 3D printer maker voxeljet (VJET), off 0.7%.
In the U.K. and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical firm Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), and gold mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD), which rose 3.2% and 1%% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), up 1%, and pharmaceutical company Shire (SHPG), adding 0.9%.
