Nutanix reported earnings for fiscal 2017 Q1 were at a loss of $0.37 per share, beating out the Street consensus of a loss of $0.44 per share but widening from a loss of $0.27 a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter came in higher than analysts projected at $166.8 million versus $152.3 million, and was up 90.1% year-over-year from $87.8 million.
The company also established guidance for fiscal Q2, saying it expects revenue to be between $175 million and $180 million, topping the Street estimate of $168.4 million for the quarter. Earnings for the quarter are projected to be between a loss of $0.35 per share and a loss of $0.36 per share, slightly narrower than analysts prediction of a loss of $0.37. Shares for Nutanix were last down 4% in after-hours trading.
